SPONSORS OF THE BEST CHEF AND WAITER OF THE YEAR

At the Alimentaria Fair, Toño Rodríguez and Miguel López won the Chef and Waiter of the Year Competitions. In their 9th and 5th edition respectively, marking the 20th and 10th anniversary. Toño, chef of La Era de los Nogales restaurant, and Miguel, of Garena restaurant, stood out for their skill and passion. Toño, recent winner of the Sol Repsol, showed his creativity and culinary mastery. Miguel demonstrated his skill in service. Gary's Workwear, official sponsor, celebrated their victories. The competitions, with an exceptional jury, promote talent in the hospitality industry. All in all, it was a feast of exceptional talent and hospitality.

GARY'S WORKWEAR IN SICUR 2024

Gary's Workwear presented its latest novelties at the International Security Show, SICUR 2024, highlighting a collaboration with Agatha Ruiz de la Prada and its new Red Line basics collection. They also launched the Beauty&Retail catalogue. The stand also featured two daily fashion shows and a special visit from designer Agatha Ruiz de la Prada. This participation reinforces the brand's position as a leader in work fashion in Spain, with more than 1,000 visitors to its stand.

REALZA CAPITAL INVESTS IN GARY'S WORKWEAR TO CONTINUE GROWTH AND INTERNATIONALISATION PROJECT

Realza Capital has acquired a majority stake in Gary's Workwear, a leading designer and marketer of workwear in Spain. CEO and founding partner, Luis Martínez, retains a substantial stake and will lead the company. With plans to double sales in 4 years and expand internationally, Realza Capital will support Gary's ambitious growth. The firm plans investments in new facilities to boost expansion and improve efficiency. One to One and Arwood advised Gary's, while Grant Thornton advised Realza Capital.

SPAIN MICHELIN GUIDE GALA

The Michelin Guide Gala in Spain, held in Barcelona on 28 November, was a highlight with the participation of renowned chefs. This year marked a milestone by separating the Spain and Portugal galas. Barcelona was chosen as the venue because of its three Michelin Three Star restaurants. Prior to the event, Spain had 13 three-starred restaurants, 34 two-starred restaurants and 235 one-starred restaurants. By the end of the night, there were 15 Three Star, 32 Two Star and 224 One Star restaurants. Two new restaurants, Noor and Disfrutar, were awarded Three Stars. Venta Moncalvillo joined the Two Stars, and 31 One Star restaurants were added. In addition, 12 green stars were awarded for sustainability, bringing the total number of stars in Spain to 49. The gala also recognised prominent figures, such as Juan Mari Arzak and Josep "Pitu" Roca.
